Shraddha Kapoor was born on March 3, 1987, in Mumbai, India. Growing up in a family immersed in Bollywood—her father, Shakti Kapoor, is a veteran actor, and her aunts, Padmini and Tejaswini Kolhapure, are celebrated actresses—it was almost inevitable that Shraddha would pursue a career in films. Her early interest in both filmmaking and music laid the foundation for her future endeavors in the entertainment industry.
Shraddha completed her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School and the American School of Bombay before briefly attending Boston University. She returned to India to follow her passion for acting, making her Bollywood debut in 2010 with “Teen Patti.” Though the film didn’t achieve commercial success, it was her role in “Aashiqui 2” that truly marked her arrival on the big stage.
